Problem with mate

hi to all, i finally find a Pseudocreobotra wahlbergii adult male.

This evening i try to mate them, i put the male behind the female that is eating...

the male see her but stay in that position for all time without knock on female.

so i try to put him on her, and he stay there without mate.

i don't know what i can do....please help me...

p.s. i can try to mate the wahlbergii's female with an ocellata's male, what happened?

If you think they should of mated by now, remove the male, they are not ready yet. Give them a day or two and try again, nothing you can do but wait till they are ready.

How long have they been adults? How long did he sit and stare at the female? Mine sat and stared at her for fifteen minutes before mounting. Once he mounted, it took him 8 hours to start mating. They don't start right away.
