Why are these so expensive now, their small easy to breed and keep, nothing special and yet not long ago Yen was selling the ooths for $2.50 and now its gone up to $15 each and for the nymphs their about the same price as phylocrainia paradoxa and they used to be less than half that, whats going on
:blink: I have more than I can handle, I just picked ooths off of the container the other day, Sunday I think it was and I picked about 6 today, There is only 5 or six girls in there! And now they started laying them on the floor, whazs up with that? It's like Yen said, they are ooth laying machines :lol: ! Aw! one of the babies jumped ship today when I was transfering them and I found it later, in my hot water cup ! Poor baby, boiled away! I looked all over for it and it was right there in the cup. :blink: I have started up a Mystery Mantis container, for those that jump ship. This is because when you have thousands of mantis and the stinkers get loose, I cannot usually tell who they are. So all escapees go into a container and anyone who orders an express shipment, no matter what is in it will get a Mystery Mantis. Of course there are a few mantis that you can tell what they are no matter how small, like the ghost or orchid, but most of them all to me anyways look the same when little. :lol:
nor could i. had two males and two females and they just couldnt join up for some reason. males tried mounting many times over at least 2 months untill they all eventually died of old age. dunno what the problem was <_<
