ok so if mantis are in the wild and one lays a ooth all those nymphs are in one area (are they territorial? do they stay in the same area?) said mantis all grow to maturity and start breeding.....so are they breeding with each other? do they spread out into new areas in search of mates?

just something I've been thinking about

Most or all adult males can fly and do it to find females (far away too). Mantids can inbreed many times and seem to not have anything wrong.

Well the nymphs disperse during the course of their lifetimes. To what degree I am not sure. Many are preyed upon by mantids and other animals and others are killed for one reason or another. Very few reach maturity to mate. I have seen fields in winter that literally had hundreds of ooths.
