recently one of my female shields decided to stop eating and the last thing I noticed was some red poo being ejected and wondered if this could be a sign of worms or something as never seen a mantis discard red poo before so this is kind of new to me!

Well forgot to mention she did bend her abdomen and ate it and since then she has not eaten anything and she acts like she is breathing heavy meaning she is trying go to the bathroom or something but every time I try to entice her with a cricket she has no interest and she did lay a ooth a few weeks before all this began and also all attempts at breeding her again has not been successful either!

I just did clean it and put down a fresh floor of dirt and cleaned the tank up a bit but I guess one good thing is she takes water when given to her but still hoping she gets her appetite back and gains weight but crossing my fingers but not going to give much hope on her total recovery but everything happens for a reason!

I reread my post and actually laughed out loud. I left myself wide open for that one.

Good, laughter is good medicine, it will make the red poo go away! haha, gotcha again!
