Hey guys. I noticed today the spider in the corner (Which I'm assuming is a cobweb spider because of the short legs), is protecting a sac. Its a dirty white colour, more brown than the rest of the web. How would you suggest I proceed? Should I pull the sac after a couple weeks and incubate it? Should I leave them to their fate? (which could be bad with my family).

Well it would normally be incubating at the temp she laid it at which is your house temp...now your best bet would be to let her keep it and then you (if desired) could collect the hatchlings when they hatch...

Cause the guy who's just getting over his fear of spiders wants to reach into a flash mob of slings :p

I have hatched cobweb spiders in a jar (with the spider web suspending it). The babies I have hatched were about 0.5mm long (they might have been American House Spiders). Black Widow hatchlings are a lot bigger and are reddish.

Thing is they're out of a container. I was just letting the spider hang out so she could catch escapee FFs, and now theres a sac involved. I don't think the little guys would stand much chance in my house, so I want to set it up in a container, let them hatch and raise them until theyre a little bigger, then let them go outside in the spring. maybe keep a few to raise from babies :3.

You might want to put them in a jar.
