Sakrete Natural Play Sand-Substrate?

I just bought a bag of Sakrete Natural Play Sand and just wanted to know if it is safe to use for scorpions and other insects.(mainly scorpions).

I've used play sand for my animals before, but only after washing it a few times and pouring boiling water into it to kill any potential pathogens. It's probably not necessary, but I prefer to be on the safe side.

how do you boil it?

You boil the water, not the sand. You pour the boiling water into a bucket of sand.
