This is the most difficult to acquire subspecies of Scolopendra heros. Scolopendra heros is one of the larger centipedes and full grown adults rival S. subspinipes. This is a 3" captive hatched immature.

You should spend more time having well structured posts and that would cut down on the 100's of posts you make all the time. LOL.

love centipedes myself, and that is a beauty, however they are the insect hunter i have the most respect (a.k.a. fear ) for, large, very agressive, strong, able to hold and crush like a snake and powerful venom is a heck of a combo, when i get one im definatly gonna take alot more caution then with some of the other stuff i keep

I never knew people kept milipedes and centipedes until my friend introducd me to this forum. I learned so much from this forum! :lol: BTW what do they eat? Do they use their poison for self defense only or do they hunt living things?

They use it for defense and for hunting
