It's really easy - at L4/L5 males will have visible wing buds, that's the easiest way to determine the *** of your nymphs in this case.

Oh, I never counted them, but males always matured first, so it was my guess that females needed one extra molt - should be like 5-6 molts or something, maybe 6-7.
