I now have a story to share that came to a completion yesterday. A package I sent destined for Alberta, CAN mailed out on Monday the 16th of May. Being told that the Customs Declaration No. was for tracking, I would daily check in on the www.usps.com site. There was only mention of my package's being accepted in my home town in CA, but daily checking only showed the same statement. last evening the recipient emailed me to tell me that the package has arrived and the contents were in good shape. That was a nine day span of time from posting to delivery. It is amazing that things inside can remain well that long. I will not do things the same way next time. Perhaps being nebulous as to a package's contents is a smarter way to go than to write "fragile" "feeder insects". Now that seems like looking for trouble. I want to share this with others who might be considering such mailings. It is not good for the blood pressure, but in the end it is a good feeling to accomplish what is not tried a lot.
