mantises typically wont eat caterpillars

rear them on mulberry or chow and in a month they pupate and eclose about 3 weeks later

adult moths dont eat and can be fed to mantises

I just ordered a bunch to raise to moths and feed out. Pretty excited at the prospect of offering LARGE prey to my ladies

I have some silkworm eggs that have been in the fridge about a month for diapause. I might sell some if people are interested. I use the "worms" for my chameleons and hold some back for pupating and mating for future generations. They do best if fed fresh mulberry, but people seem to use the "chow" with no problems. That wasn't my case. I must have gotten some bad chow or it was tainted as it obliterated my entire silkworm colony.

ok I just ordered some silkworms from Mulberry Farms this should be interesting

I'm gonna have alot of mouths to feed I'm up tp 11 mantis :helpsmilie: LOL
