I set a goal in September 2013, to take better macro shots

now I think I have improved a lot, im satisfied overall

there is still a long way to go , hope i can get rid of simple black background and do some really great photos in the new year

Great results! I actually like the black background as it allows the eye to draw only to the mantis. What camera and lens are you using for the studio shots? Lighting?

I'm using cannon 60D and 100macro. Lighting is quite complicated, I'm using a DIY twin light
