Here's some shots of my ootheca.

It's kind of hard to see the "bubbles" I was talking about, but you can still see them in both pics.

Looks pretty normal to me. The bubbles are in the foam that makes the ooth.
I know what you're talking about with the bubbles being in the foam and all, it's just that they almost look like nymphs trying to hatch. You can't tell in the photos, but the "bubbles" are transparent with little black and yellow dots inside them. They could be trying to hatch, because I've been incubating them at around 82 degrees Farenheit and 50% humidity for about three weeks. You're right, it's probably pretty normal.

The nymphs will hatch from the "furry" area. That's where the escape hatches are hidden under little flaps. You can run your finger lightly pulling up and you will feel and see the flaps

It is not nymphs hatching as I said before. There is no change in an ooth prior to hatching. As was mentioned the nymphs emerge from the light colored strip that runs down the top center. There is nothing unusual about that ooth.

I know. I wasn't worried about it before, or now. I've been giving it way better care than it wold get in the wild, especially in Nebraska, so I haven't been worried. I was just posting some pics of it.
