Recently one of the Stagmomantis females that been mated last week was having a bad time falling off the lid of the container which has a mesh grill with largeish holes , she would keep climbing back up and then falling down I should add she is very big compared to some of the other females i have.

I took her out and she had some exercise climbing around on my hands and i placed her back in with some extra twigs in the hope she would not climb to the lid again, this morning I see she laid an ooth on the twigs though its quite smaller and mishapen she appears ok as she was happily munching on a cricket.

not drawing any conclusions from this other than she may have been trying to get to the lid to lay her Ooth as two other of my Stagmomantis have done this.

I now have 5 Stagmomantis Ooths so I would be happy to send one for just the shipping $.

Just PM me your address

ps :it WONT be the small mishapen one

Mantids often get restless before laying ooths. That is probably what it was. After awhile you will be able to pick up on that clue and many others that signal ooth time is near. Sorry it was deformed. Even with healthy females that happens from time to time.
