Stagmomantis Carolina Mating.

Hello, and good evening community!

Today my female Carolina was showing signs of possible mating, after feeding her a large meal I decided to introduce my her to my male. He wasted no time in jumping on her, literally... He successfully attached himself to her within the minute.

As I've only been in the hobby a few months, this is my first attempt at breeding.

I usually mate Chinese mantises and Carolina mantises loose in a room or closet so the male has ample room to stay away from the female after they disconnect.

lol that's a good idea, but I have children and a cat that's known for eating bugs (not mine)

I plan on holding out until they're finished, that way I know he made it out alive.
