Females have a slight, pointed "hump" at the end of their abdomen, when seen from this angle. You may see that this last segment is not as crisp or clearly defined as the other segments.

Males have a more elongated, spear-tip shaped abdomen. Females have that round, spade-shaped abdomen.

well the end of the male's SGP has 2 little spikes, the sections of the female's ovipositor would be together and look different than the pic

The last to segments just scream male to me. Also the abdomen is rather narrow.

All I was told about sexing was to count the segments. 6 for female 8 for male, and theres more than 6 on that abdomen.

They are CLEARLY dimorphic, and your sexes are 100% correct.

Looks male to me. I think he is male. The only thing is he has a wide belly (thin so it looks wider) and the 7 segments. There might be another segments not seen (at least not clear because there is a faint thing that might be a segment) in this picture and I am talking about the first one on top of the picture (sorry I cannot get the right words). The antennae on that mantis look thick.
