Females have a slight, pointed "hump" at the end of their abdomen, when seen from this angle. You may see that this last segment is not as crisp or clearly defined as the other segments.

Males have a more elongated, spear-tip shaped abdomen. Females have that round, spade-shaped abdomen.

 
The last to segments just scream male to me. Also the abdomen is rather narrow.

 
Looks male to me. I think he is male. The only thing is he has a wide belly (thin so it looks wider) and the 7 segments. There might be another segments not seen (at least not clear because there is a faint thing that might be a segment) in this picture and I am talking about the first one on top of the picture (sorry I cannot get the right words). The antennae on that mantis look thick.
