Hi all,

I have no idea what instar my mantid is in, I just caught it like a week ago. He/she is about two inches long, and I could tell it was time for him/her to molt (I'll just call it a her). So I put her in a container with limited ventilation so the humidity would stay high, and misted until the humidity was well over 70%. Then I put her in a dark cabinet so that she could molt in the dark. Well, when I woke up this morning, I found her stuck in her exoskeleton. It had been ten hours or so since I put her in the container to molt, but I don't know when she started molting, since I didn't want to disturb her by opening the cabinet. I've watched mantids molt before, and can tell she is definitely sitting there as if stuck, this is not a normal molt and I know she's been like this for at least 4 hours. Is there anything I can do for her? I know she's not dead - she moves slightly and her eyes are not black. :(

Edit: I realized that she did make it out of her exoskeleton, but her wings were all deformed. I'll start a new topic for that to avoid confusion ;)
