Yeah I know this may be a bit late but I agree with gripen about the orchid not looking like a sub. I haven't kept orchids, but for what I have seen from other pictures she looks kinda small. And the lower wingbuds are not as pointed looking as I would think they should look(http://mantiskingdom.com/gallery/displayimage.php?album=4&pos=26 this where the only pics I could find right away). Like I said before I am no expert, but if I had to bet on it, I'd say she is presub.

Mine is a recent sub so soon enough she will have swollen colorful wingbuds like that

Well true but being swollen I don't think would account for the "pointedness". And her overall size just seems small. Maybe that is just because of the pics, but I dunno. I am probably wrong, but my persistence to argue makes me have to look for more pics...

Ok, so if you look at the 5th photo of the sub female here you can see she doesnt have swollen wing buds yet they are fairly larger looking then those on your female. And I know the other pics there show swollen wing buds but they all have different timestamps.

I thought that my Orchids were subadult until one molted to actual subadult. I posted about my confusion in the, "are these the wingbuds of a presub????" topic. :blush:

I am looking at one now and she has longer wingbuds than the one in the photos.

Also, the horn on her head appears as tall as her eyes, maybe even a half a millimeter taller. If I bring my finger down to touch her head from the top, it will touch the horn and not the eyes. Kinda hard to explain, but it is what it is.
