So, how often does this happen? Our first nymph that we purchased, not only made it to adulthood, but also happens to be another Idolo adulthood success! Shelob molted to adulthood this morning after taking her sweet time. No color yet, but she is still beautiful all the same.

Her molt was perfect and her exoskeleton was just hanging so perfectly.

Isn't she beautiful?

A few hours have passed and she is growing more and more beautiful!

I do wish I would have been present for any one of her molts, but the success is still just as important. Anyone know how long before she gets her color? :)

A male? I wondered that but the only way I was ever told to tell for sure, was to count the segments.... But I never knew where to start. So sometimes I'd count 6, sometimes I'd count 12. Lol what tells you s/he is a male?

The thick, long antennae.

I have never seen one in real life, but from a search through google images and also from my exp with other species, I believe that is what Paradoxica is referring to.

Congrats man! Huge success! ^-^ and to answer your question, in two weeks he should have all of his color...

Cheers,

Andrew

Thanks for all the positive vibes. I'm a little embarrassed about the gender confusion, but still happy about the molt. :) And thanks for the compliments on the terrarium, we put a lot of effort into that. :D

Oh with all the gender discussion I forgot to congratulate you! Congratulations, and I hope you find a mate for him!
