LAME
Tenodera sinensis (the one and only)
Hello community!
After raising my first mantis and successfully achieving adulthood I've decided to take the next step with my Tenodera Sinensis (Echo). She is my baby so I wanted to keep her genes and memories alive.
After adulthood was achieved I spent the remaining summer days we had here in Illinois looking for a possible mate, with no luck...
I would publicly like to thank fellow forum member and friend " MantidBro " for generously providing me with his finest mating male, Lord Ess. After weeks of planning he arrived today while I was out at work. My girlfriend retrieved the package, housed Ess in a temporary 2gal bucket home fitted with sticks and all the essentials, even went as far as feeding him!
When I got home I was very excited so I quickly fed the queen to distract her. At first things went slow... Echo was being stubborn with her wings and it seemed Ess had more personal issues, but 45 mins and 2 large crickets later.... Intimacy struck!
- Mating began: 6:01pm
