I lost one of mine this weekend too. S/he molted fine but never curled it's abdomen up the way they do. It just stayed streched perfectly straight, it wouldn't eat and died a couple days later.

Awesome species though.

 
These guys should be easy to ***. Shoot some pics of there rear ends and I can tell you for sure.

 
Mime, have you determined the *** of your unicorns yet? In later instars, it's easy to *** them by the antennae. I have a fresh adult pair now and also some older nymphs of both sexes.
