Their legs are so weird. And they move weirdly too. Almost like a spider.

I had two that were growing faster than the others. One of them died this weekend, the other molted. So maybe it had a premolting accident? Anyway, very sad. I'm down to three of these now, I hope I have at least 1 pair.

I lost one of mine this weekend too. S/he molted fine but never curled it's abdomen up the way they do. It just stayed streched perfectly straight, it wouldn't eat and died a couple days later.

Awesome species though.

a frozen one in my freezer (yes he died of old age, i shouldnt have put him out in the heat and sped up his metabolism that much...)

I have three total, so I should have a male? This is my biggest one, and it's female. Going by size, I don't think that my males (should they exist) could be much older than L5.

Mime, have you determined the *** of your unicorns yet? In later instars, it's easy to *** them by the antennae. I have a fresh adult pair now and also some older nymphs of both sexes.
