that threating pose

I know it was too soon to try to breed my brown european and well I tried her out with one of my males and she went into full threat mode and did the noise and everything and well the male just seen all this and made a run for it and no harm was done and just wondering. I noticed with my nebulosa mantis that they did some kind of movement on their back end and that I think was what got me to thinking that is when to get them to mate if the female does some kind of rump shake or something!

strange tried the same thing before on my green female and she was not ready either but she did not do the threat pose at all!

Dude, it's been like only 3 days since that mantid molted (assuming it's the same one you mentioned in a previous post). If the male had been older, he would probably have still attempted to mate even if the female made that threat pose (my male European did that once) and the female may have gotten hurt (not completely hardened yet maybe) along with the male.

well he did try to attempt to mate with my other female before the attempt with the brown one and on all three attempts in which he did try to mate with her but with that female he was rejected as well! Well waiting till the end of the week for another go at it!

I had a male chinese mount a female and she dropped to the bottom because she wasn't ready yet.
