The Gall of that Oak

While adventuring today, I spotted what this oddity on a local Oak tree.

Of course, I obviously assumed it was an alien life form come to save the planet, and I had found it, and we would be best friends, and I'd get super powers from it, and we could be all like, "Oak Boy & Acorn", or something like that. You know - environmentalist super-science heroes! So, I googled "Super power inducing alien acorn" to confirm my suspicions. Sadly, all I found were a bunch of Obama-is-Hitler links.

Maybe it's just a stoopid old wasp gall...

OMG, Sporeworld! They got to you pretty quick! "Some stoopid old wasp gall" indeed"! Did they get you with the Mind Ray? The last I heard of King Max, he was in the Void or the Zone of Silence or some such unfriendly place, but with a ship like that, I guess that he could break out of just about anything or anywhere. I see that they have modified the nacelle. A fleet of ships with a modification like that could take over Earth in nanoseconds. Perhaps they already have. :helpsmilie:

Oh, no! It WAS the Mind Ray!! I knew it! You're right! I bet they WANTED me to put them in the freezer, all along...maybe as part of some diabolical scheme... OMG! Maybe they're trying to finally release King Max!! And I played RIGHT into their hands! Curse that wretched Mind Ray!!

That things is still pretty freaky. The twists and turns in evol... err... natural selection... necessary to produce an insect that can hijack a plant to produce a sort of nest. Pretty amazing.
