Yesterday my oldest boy died before shedding to adulthood so I'm totally gutted :angry: .

Today my youngest has shed to adult

What a week of extremes. Hopefully the females won't be much longer shedding to adult so I can mate them

u didnt tell me u had a adult orhid male..il send u my adult female?its never laid 1 ooth,,its been adult for about 5 months..do u want her..we can share the ooths?

More than likely if she is adult for five months, she is Eggbound! Meaning some of the mantis and other insects stop laying, the feeling being possibly from being in captavity, I have had my Orchids do this and my Budwings, Limbatas, Carolinas. Sorry old chap, but if she hasn't laid by now, she won't!

Also the females are usually 2 molts behind the males.

I slowed the males as best I could and am fairly sure the females are sub-adult atm. They are way bigger at least, well over twice his size . Makes me think of the Meeka song :lol:

..shes fat ######..your see when it turns up.im sure it will be fine.wonder how i should send her so she dont get damaged?as shes big and fat?

No idea on delivering big 'uns. maybe use plenty of tissue as padding?

You are right, the worst that can happen is she die, and at this rate she has to have a chance!
