Hi everyone,

today I got my D. Lobada from kitkat. he says that they were all L1 besides the one in the photo that is L2. they were much bigger then I expected. I was going to put 3 or 4 per a 24oz cup. yet I desided that for now I would put 4 per 32oz cup to give them extra room.

(yes, kitkat, you said to add then to their own cup, but dude, I got like 20+ creos alone in my bug room...can you give a guy a break with all that hand misting?)

they seem to get along quite well together without playing tag like my creos do (even with plenty of room, I'm going to start breaking up my creos into their own cup tomorrow...silly L2/3 creos fighting with each other in big cups too. it's like they are looking to start a fight with each other. )

the Dead leaf mantids on the other hand act nicer then my ghosts. they seem to really get along with each other. they look so cool. like little twigs. I had to photograph one on a dead leaf since it would look like part of the twig it was on. kitkat added a ton of FF to the cup they came in. once I removed the cup from the box they started to eat like they were starving. so I gave them an hour before I spit them up. they also were the only mantids I have that seem to like to put their arms out in a defencive posture repeatedly. just look at them funny, and 1 or 2 of them would do it. it was funny.

clearly my collection is growing rapidly. it's all you guys and gals fault!!!!

you got me hooked on thies little gems of the bug world and I thank each and every one of you. :flowers:

here are some of my latest photos of my little ones...

Tiffiny the flower child eating a full grown male cricket. (took her an hour, but she ate the whole thing despite my friends thinking she would never even grab it from my fingers)

thank you everyone for all the kind words.

Nice jpb. These are some really cool pix. i particularly liked the last one.
Thank you Phill, that really means a lot to me coming from someone like you.

I'm also sorry that I haven't had the time to reply to your email yet, but I will ASAP.

I don't advise people to feed crickets to flower mantids, but I take above average care of my crickets as I treat them like my pets before feeding them off. this Creo has been fed a diet of almost 35% of crickets with no ill effects yet.

(I will be speaking as to why and how with Philinyuma in an email shortly, as it is part of our conversation regardless that he might not know it yet.)

Nice photos, I love your Lobatas!!!!
oh man, you got to find a way to get some from kitkat. they are the best.

I am truly honored to have them from such a great guy.

if by chance you find that it is not possable to get them now, maybe you should hit me up in a few months to see if I have any ooths. I would be happy to help you get some. they are far better then I thought. I love how they look like part of my dead ficus branches in the deli cups. they are also so cute sticking their arms out to pretend that they are part of a stick and that I should look away when I walk by...they act like Popa Spurca.

Harry
