While doing first feeding yesterday, noticed one had molted. Figured from what others had shared, not eating, and long walks around container was soon to be but missed seeing it.

Later decided to quickly split up the ghosts (2x3) into individual containers. Just as I finished,  Sabaca told me she really needed to go out. That lead to our evening walk of 20 min or so.

And a ghost who had been staying near the bottom was about done molting and had started to move a bit. Is it really that fast when L2? Mantis had move up couple of inches and molted on side. Glad it made it.

So now these old eyes that do need new glasses can see the gorgeous colors and shades of colors. WOW!!!!!!! 2 done 6 to go. Hope I get to see some this time around.

         :wheelchair:     LOLZ

@Zeppy44 Indeed the younger they are the sooner the time between molts, but each instar requires usually more time than the previous. Until you reach the final molt to adult which takes about a month typically from the previous one.

Regarding the molting signs not all mantids show them as obviously as others, but again the further in instar they are the more signs are apparent.

I'm glad to hear both molted without issue, especially the one on the habitat side. :D Just keep an eye on them to witness it, as they will all tend to molt within a few days of the first.
