So i found a medium sized wolf spider in my yard yesterday (I found its den?) but its fast (of course) and i want a way to catch it and bring it inside, since i dont want it to get crushed, smushed, and i dont want to be bitten. Any ideas. Its hidey hole is in my fence in my backyard and its about 5 ft off the ground in a space between the fence and a wood panel placed on top to make a ridge. Thanks :)

I've seen pros use a small, frail plant stem to lure them out. Vibrate it at the nest opening and she'll probably come to the opening. How to get her completely out is a good question. I'd also do this in the evening or night when they're active.

There was a jumping spider that lived in my back yard that I wanted to catch. I put a medium sized mealworm (slower than crix, u won't lose em as fast) and I put the worm at the edge of the web where it was close enough that the spider would sense it, and just far enough that the spider could get a small separation from its nest. Then I put a cup over the spider when it pounced, and took it home!
