Ok I got just a question now would it be safe to put all native ooths laid from this month on outside for next year or would it be too soon to place them outside to get use to the shortening of time and such. I dont really want these to hatch out too soon and die in the winter months and just curious since this is the start of september and I got one ooth laid already from one of my native species and want to put it outside for next year but making sure its safe to do so without the fear of it hatching prematurely!

The wild native species that are producing ooths now should not hatch early. These ooths need a diapause (overwintering period) so they know to hatch in spring. If your really concerned about early hatching you can put the ooths in the fringe (not freezer) for a few weeks then put then outside when it is cooler.

It is fine this time of year, especially as far north as you are.
