Twiggy has wings!

Twiggy, formerly known as Mr. Twig, molted last night and now has wings! She's my very favorite and my only named mantid. 

She's the Chinese mantis that had a terrible molting issue on June 3rd. I thought she was a goner, but the helpful suggestions I received from other forum users helped save her.

I'll give her a break and take some tomorrow.

It looks like there are some smaller, shorter, dark wings under her long wings. They aren't smooth like her new long pretty wings; they look slightly shriveled and a little twisted. She is moving around, but I'm going to leave her be for tonight. If the short dark wings don't completely "unfurl" overnight, perhaps it will be a permanent deformity... i don't know. At least she's still with me. I would love to continue her bloodline. ?
