The first pic is of the largest female I have found this past summer, she was found in my garden. Second pic is of the first mantid I caught and raised to adulthood who just died last night of old age.

Thanks for the replies both of you.
The one that died most recently was actually a male that I had for around 4 months or so and raised to adulthood. He was a cool little bug Not long after I found the first one I found another small female (his g/f) who I have also raised to adulthood who is still alive for the time being. I did not get a chance to mate them since I didn't want the stronger female to eat him lol
(pics 3 and 4 below are of the first male sub-adult and the other ones are of his g/f, pics 1 and 5 were just taken a few days ago)
