Just returned from a covert mantis hunt. More about that in another post. Sadly, i returned home to find two of our m. paykulii (adult male and female that we were just about to mate) are both dead. They are each in a separate deli with our other mantids. Their deli cups were clean, they had been feed (same thing as our other mantids) and they did not want for water. Only 80 degrees in the room. They had just been adults for almost two weeks. None of the other mantids (various types - including an immature egyptian) are all fine.
This is very weird and inexplicable. Oh well, i guess that is the way the dookie crumbles. Kind of sad though
