It'd be so cool if mantids actually teamed up to take down some bigger prey, like if a mating pair stayed together like a couple and shared their food. You wouldn't have to worry about the female Eating the male and you could feed them bigger stuff or if little nymphs worked together like a pack of wolves atleast until they were big Enough to make it on their own so that more of them would survive, it would be awesome. :)

That would be awesome!!! Hunting like a pack of velociraptors!

I'll see if I can train them to do it. ;)

I've seen my violins do the food fight thing before. They've even shared until there was nothing left! Great vid Precarious! I love the little unicorns!

I've seen my Heterochaeta do it till they almost chewed their own arms off! I don't trust it at all.

These guys were going at it for a while so I took the lid off and grabbed the camera. That's how long they were doing it. :taz:

Got any more unicorns or are these your first group? ;) (They've been on my "to get" list since I got started on mantids!)

I have a group of 6 that are just starting to molt to L5 (I think). Should have at least one mated pair in the bunch. You'll hear about it if I do. ;)
