A few weeks ago I received these nymphs from a friend. They hatched from an ootheca collected in Papua.

Let's hope they are a species of Rhombodera new to the hobby :) Whatever they are, I have a good feeling about them :wink:

Second instar nymphs.

I'm really excited to see how these alter as they mature. I initially thought they may be a species of Rhombodera simply because of the similarities in behaviour with R. basalis, but I expected to see more of an expansion on the pronotum at this stadium. But it is a male, so maybe that is why :?:

I'm particularly interested in the black spot at the end of the fore coxae.....
