Made a video on one of my mantids. All are doing well. I take them out often to get some sun. This one being the most tame is the one I filmed.

Also I'd like to thank Andrew for dealing with me in person and giving me my first new species(H.M.) and also a surprise ooth as a gift which was awesome.

And also for showing me what a female grisea looks like, I think I may have one but then again I seriously have no idea -__-

Yerp! That would be a male...nice vid btw! And letting them free roam on an oak can be dangerous, they will run when given the chance, And that eill surely get the attention of any anoles in the area....Great to meet new ppl in person who share this interest in the hobby... :D

Actually for the video I put him on that mango tree just to show how easily they blend in. That was the first time I put anything on there because there's a colony of ants that live at the base of the tree and all along the sides of the bark.

I usually just leave them on one of my bonsai or the bug screen outside(where he was eating in the video).

I shoulda known it was a mango tree when u let him swing on the mango fruit ;) and for the most part they like to chill...but once he's adult and has wings, he can and will use them so I wouldn't advise taking him outside....

All the best,

Andrew

I'll keep that in mind. I was actually wondering if taking them out after they get their wings was a good idea but now that you tell me I don't think I will. If anything, I'll let them fly in a closed off area.

I can't believe how well he blended in! You shot it really well too: starting wide and then gradually moving in... I kept thinking I saw him but didn't actually until almost the very end... I also like the shots on the mango. Makes me really want to take my guy outside but he's got wings now and I don't trust him THAT much.
