Updated Regulations and Laws regarding Phasmids

Hey guys and gals - I'm going to stand on this side of the fence for a bit and use my Law Enforcement Contacts to get some more UPDATED information regarding importing and exporting Phasmids into the US. I guess being a Cop has it's bonus's when it comes to things like this! ESPECIALLY since I've been lusting for a Jungle Nymph for AGES, but SERIOUSLY doubt I'd even be able to obtain a permit..

Once I get current information from the USDA, I'll post my findings in here for you guys to Reference...

I would advise caution this could backfire and require you to reveal your contacts and what not and many of us like to stay under or out of the crosshairs and do business in the shadows so to speak and well just use caution and this has been discussed with the issues regarding mantids!

I agree with Paul. There is really very little to be gained by a dialogue with the Feds. The best approach is to talk to those in the hobby and see what they do to get what you want, whether a Phasmid or a Mantid. Much has been written in this forum about the permit issue. Please avail yourself to all that is here in the forums about this serious matter of permits.

there is no sitting on the fence its either your on one side or the other there is not really a in between either your for the selling or your not and the less the government knows the less they will invade ones privacy even with these hobbies!

Nate, I am still wondering what you plan to feed them. They ain't gonna eat dubias.

Though, someone said she feeds kale to hers during the cold months (i.e. oct to june).

I will still like to see them if you lay hands on them.
