Ok well my only brunneria borealis began shedding earlier tonight. Everything was normal until i came back in to her having one claw still stuck inside her skin. At first she was unresponsive. Should i pull her claw out or wait? I really dont want her to die

Thank god i got it out. Bent out of shape though, doesnt look like it could be used for hunting. Hopefully since she is an L4 it will heal over time.

If the rest of her body is fine then don't worry. Mantids can catch food with one front leg. You may want to assist her a bit because I have noticed that mantids with one front leg tend to miss more often when striking at food.

So heres an update.. I wouldnt be so worried if it was just the claw, but being in the awkward position that she was in caused her exoskeleton to harden that way. I had to pull her out of the rest of her skin today, so her two back legs dont work properly, leaving her three normal legs. She climbs surprisingly well in that state, but it looks like i may have to handfeed her hopefully until her next molt
