No. I see where you read that. I have had all kinds of mantids vomit and the vast majority recovered and were normal. I wouldn't worry about this.

well i guess i will try not to get too worried but hard not to and good thing is the sub adult still cleans herself and can get around and my question is have you ever had a mantis vomit for longer then one day Rick and recover?

Absolutely. I have had some that just kept doing it until they died. Seems some do it every now and then.

my only guess how she got all this vomitting could be when some of the bugs i collected come from a ditch where its sprayed on occasion for mosquitoes and maybe some pesticide stuck to some of the insects and did not kill them and i unknowingly fed some of those to my mantis but i wont do much more of that anymore but she has stopped her vomitting and i guess is now resting probably to recover her strength after the vomitting!

i just had a S. carolina at sub adult vomit and have diereha up until she shed to adult, its stopped completely! and shes still alive after 2 months of being an adult, and being mated.

Cherisse, one of my limbatas, did have a bout of barfing at subadult...lasted several days and I assumed she wouldn't make it. I was wrong...and while she did only lay one ooth that wasn't perfect, it did hatch out about 50+ nymphs now moslty L2s. Most others didn't survive their barfing episode, but a handful have. Good luck to yours.

well mine did recover somewhat but just wondering when they get their appetites back prob anytime i suppose but put several flies with her and well nothing on her grabbing them yet!
