Do you ever just put your Mantis on a house plant and let them live "wild" and roam free in the house.  I have three Mantids and a LOT of house plants and I often let my mantids roam "wild".  8/10 they will just hang out on the plant and if I find one of them missing, I can almost always find them on the window or hanging on the curtain the next day.  Does anyone else let their mantis just hangout?

I do like to but I usually dont leave them out unless Im okay with them disapearing, but I once had a Miomantis paykulli living in my place for several months.. I thought she had died because I hadnt seen her for a couple months. Then oneday, after visiting me,  a guest found it using him like a taxi, when it crawled into his hair at a grocery store.

I let my mantids exploring my desk. When they are big enough  let them exploring  my desk, so I can find them again. But in when I am  going out of going to bed, I put them back in their homes. Only my H. membrana female I lost this summer, was always out, but she stayed at her favorite hang spot. She was more out her home than in?
