Last fall I got four wonderful Eastern Lubber grasshoppers. I definitely want to get those fellas again, but I also want to get into other species of grasshoppers not found in Pennsylvania.
Any large grasshoppers (greater than 2 inches long) would do. The larger the better, but there are a few exceptions: Painted grasshoppers, which look really cool... any Lubber type grasshopper, especially Horse and Plains lubbers.
No crickets, except for Jerusalem crickets might be interesting.
No katydids, except for the carnivorous satanspawn from Texas (because they look awesome but I forget the name of the species - but they look like katydids from heck!)
