We have had a damon medius for about six months. A couple of days ago, noticed a pearl sized white paper egg (?) in her aquarium hanging from cork bark. We have house spiders in our home but have never seen any in her tank. Arent whip spiders live birthers? I dont want to mess with the egg if it is hers but dont want competing species in there who might injure her. It doesnt look like a steatoda egg. .?

Damon do not give live birth. Eggs are held in a silken pouch that is attached to the underside of their opisthosoma and would not be produced singly and covered in silk individually. There's probably a small spider hiding inside your cork bark. I personally have issues with Steatoda infesting the nooks and crannies of the cork bark I used in my enclosures--I rarely notice them before they're mature and producing egg sacs.
