Weird things I have seen a mantid do

Being that I am new to mantids, I am still amazed by some of the quirky stuff they do. These are a couple of the weird things I have seen (in no particular order):

1. using cryptic movements never, except doing totally excaggerated ones when an insect walks by.

2. appear to watch tv.

3. curled up and nibbling her own butt after oothing

4. appear to enjoy honey and other treats.

5. attack chihuahua.

You seen anything weird?

ha ha ha, the butt one is good and new to me, reminds me of a joke. A guy is at a party with his dog, he is eating from the buffet without a plate, just standing there nibbling here and there and giving bits to his dog. But before he tastes anything he gives it to his dog first, because he is very picky about what he eats. On this one tibit he gives it to the dog and the dog eats it and then licks his butt, the server looks at him an says, yuck, and the guy says, that must of been a bad one and the server says, u didn't even taste it, and the guy says, no but he did, and he wanted to get the taste out of his mouth :lol:
