I have chinese outside and today I spotted a nice big pre sub female and also a smaller male, so I fed them both the female ate 2 silk worms and a fly enough food for a few days one would think. Well tonight I go out and there she is eating her future hubby :eek:nline2long: . Hmmmmm how dare she deprive me of future grand manties..........shheeeshhhhh

 
Sounds like he did not offer to pay for her dinner when they went out. That or he made the mistake of saying she looked like a beautiful leaf instead of a twig. :whistling:

Mantids are opportunistic feeders. If they can catch and eat it they will, doesn't matter what it is.

 
luckily I found anorther male outside today he is tiny but should catch up now thats its in the house and being fed regular
