I thought I would re-mate one of my ghost females today. The make jumped on and tried to connect within just a few minutes, but he couldn't seem to get the job done. An hour has gone by and I just checked to see if they were connected, but she had other plans.

She's laying an ooth with him riding piggyback!

I don't know if I should remove him and risk disturbing her, or leave him and hope he doesn't disturb the ooth laying process? Also if she finishes laying and he connects immediately after, would that actually fertilize her?

What's everyone's thoughts on this?

This exact same thing happened to me with this species. He got ooth of his butt. Idk if it hurt him, but he didn't live much longer after that.

Alright she finished laying, and I removed her. He really did not wanna let go!

Thanks for the info guys

Lol that has to be a major ego slap to the poor boy.

Male Ghost, "Hey baby you look beautiful how about we do the naughty dance and intertwine? Or.... you could totally ignore me and lay an ootheca, that is cool too... Should I leave... or just hang here for a bit....?"
