Hello everyone!

My name is Vance and I live in Oswego, NY. If you Google our city, don't let all the beautiful photos of the sun setting on the lake fool you. This year, we have had 125" of snow as of today... Uuugh!

I have come to find insects fascinating creatures and I enjoy watching them. I purchased my first Ghost mantis nymphs several weeks ago and they are the most incredible little things. I am excited to build a collection displaying a nice variety.

A note to everyone: Spilling fruit flies on the dinning room table is NOT cool with the wife and kids. I'm not talking about a few. I mean a hundred or so.

One last thing. I wanted to thank Hibiscusmile for the great photo she posted on this site. I was afraid that I'd have to buy all these expensive screen cages. Her photo demonstrations on using plastic containers was inspiring. Thanks!!!

Welcome Vance. I am glad to see you here. You wrote of the issue of amntid housing, and Mantisplace.com has a few to offer. I have made attemts at several types. Perhaps I will send you are pic or two of mine. Say hi to the Ghosts for me. They are really special.
