I saw on http://www.keepinginsects.com/ that "When a female processes the spermatophore of the male, you can find a small white spermatophore leaving her body a few hours/days after mating."

Does anyone know what this "spermatophore" looks like, or have a picture of one you've seen in your enclosures?

Here is a link to topic which has a close-up of a spermatophore from a mantid. It is a what you would imagine, a round glob of white sperm.

If you search on the forum for mating, breeding, etc. you will come across photos of the transfer of it from the male to female as well.

It is quite obvious. When you see one you will know what it is. I only see them on occasion and suspect many females consume them as they likely have some nutritional value.
