@Cole 78 that is a very detailed story. :) I remember a nother "pet" that I had for 1 evening: my hubby found a parakeet in our garden. It looked like the poor little bird had survived a fight with a cat. He called me because I have had birds before. I took the bird in and gave him some water to drink and I hold it in my hand to give some of my bod yheat to him. At first life came back in the bird. He started to walk and was more alert and drank more water. Later in the evening I took a cardboard box and put a towel in it so he could rest in there. But later I felt his body temperature was dropping so I took it out again in my warm hand to comfort him. I went to bed with bird in my hand and watched over it. I fell asleep. I woke up and the bird was shocking and died in my hand. I think the poor thing had internal wounds that killed him. The next day I burried him in my garden. If the bird would have survived i would have kept him.
