What species should I keep next? I am thinking of an intermediate species so I can gain more experience for orchid mantids. I was thinking dead leaf mantids, creobater mantids, double shields or r basilis or boxer mantids. I have owned plenty of mantids.

Probably another flower mantis (such as a creobroter) is a good next step when working up to an orchid.

Dead leafs are super nice go for it! Just if u get lobata or truncata be careful not to give them places tp molt off that are too low, they are stupid. Also Rhomboderas, such awesome mantids! Orchids are not that difficult to raise, but getting the ooths to hatch can be a problem.
