Okay, perhaps this has been posted before and if so, just direct me to the right thread...but my question is this...

How does one know when the mantids are ready to breed? I'm assuming when they're adults but I want to know cause I don't want any of my smaller males to become Thor's lunch...

When both are adults I generally wait a couple weeks before trying. Older males initiate mating quicker usually and older females are more calm and receptive. You just gotta try.

Okay...well i have a while before they're all adults so I'll keep doing my reading...thanks for the info
