when to switch to hydei

Hey all, I have some cryptics from L1 to L3. I was wondering when they need to move to hydei or other feeders.

i think i went to house flies at L3 L4

Whenever you feel it is time. If they can handle them there is no reason not to switch.

i agree with rick ,just see if they can eat them. i just started my L2 violins on house flies. hard to tell size by the pic we need a coin or something to refedence with. thanks for the pic though. for cryptic i would say L3 L 4

some l1s can handle either type as I noticed l1 rhomboderas and orthoderas go after either size fruit fly and seen other l1s tackle the bigger flies!

I've got some cryptics at about the same age. Switch to hydei at L3 or so. My L4 can take down small flies now.
