When will the ooth hatch?

I bought two chinese mantid ootheca's...one hatched about two weeks ago, and the other is yet to hatch! Is it dead? Is there a way to tell? It looks normal. It did say it would take two to six weeks. I think it's been about 3 or 4 weeks. Is this normal?

It could be infertile but just keep it till it hatches. Cross your fingers! These mantids are tricky.

you just cant tell with an ooth, if chinese, give it min 6 weeks to hatch.

Yeah just give it a few months...

P.S. some mantid egg cases REALLY take a while, like B. borealis. Its Ooths have been known to take up to 6 months to hatch.
