Well, overseas shipping probably won't be very effective and the mantids would probably die because there's no overnight option.

The only thing you can do is keep on a lookout. There must be SOME uk breeders who must have some orchids eventually.

Graham seems to have a lot... I wanted some of his P. pinnapavonis, but overseas shipping would be a killer. :(

Orchids are nice mantids, are you getting them from him as nymphs, or adults?

Well I am breeding orchids also. If you mate them and your female drops an ooth, I can trade another ooth with you perhaps sometime in the future? I have orchids, and if they mate I'll get ooths, but you'll already have orchids then.

Aw, thanks. :)

Not many, because the more you feed em, the faster they'll grow up. But, the only downside I can think of is that nymphs can't control how much they eat and may get an internal implosion because they ate too much. It's really rare though, and I've never seen it happen. I've heard of vomiting and diarrhea when a mantis eats too much, but again I've only heard of that once.

not sure why but my giant asain today pulled a threat pose..im guessing cause the light was by her tank she saw her reflection..this is the only reason i can think of..either way i got a few unreal shots.il post them in a bit.

HAHAAAAHAA now the UK knows the feeling!!!!!! Like every American wants Idolomantis but only 3 american breeders have them and 2 of the breeders sell the nymphs at $35 a peice. Now the Uk wants orchid mantids (almost every america has them). Now you have a taste of what its like.
